Digital Twin-based Smart Disaster Prevention System for H Solution’s Chemical Division

Background

The project was launched to ensure safe work activities by securing the highest level of environmental safety to prevent safety accidents within H Solution factories (Yeosu Plants 1 and 2 / Yeosu TDI / Ulsan Plant 1) and successfully establishing a smart integrated disaster prevention system aimed at Proactive SHE to ensure safety by using DT technology.

Details

Prior to the construction of the system, the project carried out preliminary consulting to establish its direction, technical structure, and operation process system. Moreover, 3D modeling work through digital twin technology was carried out for a total of eight sites, including Yeosu Plant 1 and 2 (main building, annex, octanol, petroleum resin, polysilicon, PE3), Yeosu TDI Plant, and Ulsan Plant 1, which are subject to system implementation. It also worked on data interface for fire, gas, odor detection, confined space, AI video analysis, CCTV, weather observation (wind speed, wind direction, temperature, humidity), hazardous work (SHE), and firefighting water tank and pump in the industrial complex. Through this approach, the project laid the foundation for prior understanding of various disasters and worker safety that may occur in the complex, and for operating an emergency system.
